Healthcare data and technology executive
Chris Grasso, MPH, is a healthcare technology executive with 30+ years of experience building organizational capacity through strategic evaluation, system design and development, technical innovation, and interdepartmental collaboration. Most recently, Chris served as the Chief Information Officer at Fenway Health. Chris has worked in a federally qualified health center setting for 20 years, successfully spearheading numerous large-scale technology initiatives by cultivating stakeholder buy-in, effectively managing institutional change, and guaranteeing timely product delivery.
Chris has expertise in aligning technology initiatives with organizational strategic and operational goals; and extensive experience leading multi-functional teams. She was instrumental in getting sexual orientation and gender identity fields (SOGI) fields integrated into FenwayHealth’s EHR which shaped the SOGI requirements for EHR Certification and HRSA SOGI data requirements.
Chris has provided training to health care organizations on how to implement the SOGI questions and analyze LGBTQIA+ health outcomes. During COVID, she spearheaded Fenway Health’s quick pivot to telehealth and oversaw ongoing telehealth efforts. She provided expertise in the development of a newly formed LLC consisting of 12 health centers to purchase and implement Epic and developed strategic and tactical planning for the completion of the Epic transition, implementation and go-live activities.
Chris has participated on several national advisory groups, frequently presents at national conferences, and has co-authored over 50 publications.
