About Sean.

Sean has over twenty years of experience in healthcare operations with a focus on technology, strategy, and finance. At the HealthCo-Lab, Sean uses his background to help clients design, test and build sustainable solutions for innovative care and operating models.

Prior to The Health Co-Lab, Sean was an early leader at the commercial spinout of an Academic Medical Center’s genetic laboratory, where he built the revenue cycle, business analytics and finance operations ultimately leading to the company’s IPO. As the principal of a digital health consulting practice, Sean collaborated with a variety of healthcare payer, provider and logistics companies to leverage technology to better engage with patients and improve operations. Earlier in his career, Sean worked on the business development and corporate strategy team of a Medicaid-focused behavioral health payer where he worked to combine strategic acquisitions with a best-of-breed technology platform to drive growth.

Throughout his career, Sean continues to maintain his commitment to igniting solutions in healthcare. He was an InciteHealth Fellow at Harvard Medical School, where he focused on applying design thinking principles to develop Primary Care solutions. Through his role on the Alumni Leadership Committee at the Boston University School of Public Health and other continued involvement with the school, Sean works to foster the same spirit in students through giving and mentorship.

Sean holds master’s degrees in business and public health from Boston University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Sean is a service-disabled combat veteran and served tours in Germany, Kosovo, and Iraq.

Sean lives in Salem, Massachusetts with his wife and two children and spends his free time exploring the NorthShore, buying ingredients from local farms, and cooking.
